About this stop
The Alexander Square, affectionately known as "Alex", is the beating heart of Berlin. This is where history, culture and urban life come together. The square was badly damaged during the Second World War, but quickly regained its importance as a meeting place and commercial center in the east of the then divided Berlin. Today, Alexander Square offers a wealth of sights, shopping opportunities and gastronomic highlights and is a popular meeting place for locals and tourists alike.
