The Karl Marx Avenue in Berlin, once known as Stalin Avenue, is a magnificent boulevard and a true architectural masterpiece. After the street was almost completely destroyed in the Second World War, the monumental buildings in the style of socialist classicism were built as a showpiece avenue under the SED leadership.
