Christmas markets 2023 in Berlin
Christmas is just around the corner! And what better way to enjoy the wonderful Advent season than with a visit to one of the many unique Christmas markets that Berlin has to offer. Because even in 2023, there is so much to discover in Berlin during the Christmas season! Here we give you a small overview of recommended Christmas markets in Berlin that you shouldn't miss. Christmas Market: Christmas on the Spree
This year, the Christmas market on the Spree will be open from 20 November to 23 December 2023.
- Opening Hours:
Monday to Friday and Saturday, Sunday, public holidays: 5 - 10 p.m.

Christmas Market at Friedrichstraße Station
The Christmas market at Friedrichstraße station is open from 22 November to 31 December 2023.

Christmas Market at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
The Christmas market at the Gedächtniskirche will be open from 27 November 2023 to 7 January 2024.

The Christmas market on Alexanderplatz is open from 27 November - 26 December 2023.

Winter wonderland and Christmas market at Potsdamer Platz
The Christmas market at Potsdamer Platz will be open from 28 October 2023 to 1 January 2024.

daily 10 am - 10 pm,
Christmas Eve 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (closed on 19 and 26 November) - Free Entry toboggan run 1,50 Euro)

WeihnachtsZauber at Gendarmenmarkt
Christmas market at Gendarmenmarkt from 27 November to 31 December 2023 (on Bebelplatz).
- Opening Hours:
Sunday to Thursday from 12 to 10 pm,
Friday and Saturday from 12 to 11 pm - Admission: 2 Euro
(Entrance fee not included in the sightseeing ticket) - Free admission: for children under 12 and Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Christmas market on Mercedes-Benz-square is already open from 4 November 2023.

The Christmas market "Heissa Holzmarkt" takes place from 23 November to 23 December.

Most Christmas markets in Berlin start at the end of November. You then usually have until the end of December or the beginning of January 2023 to really enjoy your Christmas market visit.

You can actually visit a nice Christmas market in quite a few districts. From Charlottenburg to Friedrichshain to Berlin Mitte, everything is there. However, you will find most Christmas markets in Mitte. Many Christmas markets are located directly on the route of our Best of Berlin Tour.
Although there are exceptions here too, many Christmas markets are generally free of charge.
If you're planning to visit a Christmas market, there are a few things you should definitely try. A good Christmas market visit definitely includes mulled wine. You can also look forward to baked apples, roasted almonds, candied apples and crêpes.
