About this stop

The Berlin Victory Column The Victory Column at the Großer Stern (Great Star) was built between 1864 and 1873 by Heinrich Strack and commemorates the three Wars of German Unification in the 19th century. The crowning Victoria statue, also known colloquially as "Goldelse" (Golden Else), adorns the top of the column and stands majestically in the heart of the Tiergarten park. This landmark also offers the opportunity to climb the 285 steps to the viewing platform, providing an unparalleled view of Berlin.
