About this stop
The Elephant Gate, with two life-size elephants and a pagoda roof, is one of the two main entrances to Berlin's Zoological Garden and a fascinating symbol of Berlin's exoticism and cultural wealth. As the Elephant Gate was destroyed during the Second World War, it had to be extensively renovated. Today, the gate is one of the landmarks of the zoo and is a listed building.
