About this stop

Kurfürstendamm has always been one of the most popular destinations on a city tour of Berlin. Here, Berlin's Ku'damm can not only look back on a long and varied history, it also always provides a glimpse into the city's future, be it in terms of fashion, architecture or cuisine. The 3.5 km long Kurfürstendamm is the lifeline of the City West and today Berlin's most important shopping mile. On the wide pavements, Berliners and tourists stroll along elegantly decorated shop windows or relax in one of the numerous cafés. Just around the corner from our city tour stop 1 on Fasanenstraße are the Käthe Kollwitz Museum and the Literaturhaus Berlin with a lovely café in the garden. Our stops 1a ( corner of Meinekestr.) and 1b (corner of Rankestr.) are also located on Ku'Damm.

The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church on Berlin's Breitscheidplatz was inaugurated on September 1, 1895 and is certainly one of the most striking sights on a city tour of Berlin. The evangelical church, popularly known as the hollow tooth, rings 5 heavy bells across Kurfürstendamm and, with its neo-Romanesque architecture, forms the focal point between the Bikinihaus, the Zoopalast and the Waldorf Astoria.
